Mandatory Informational Meeting

7:00 p.m.

At this time, students and parents will meet with Coach Brewer to go over specific information regarding the team. A detailed packet regarding dates, costs, and requirements will be provided to all attendees. A Q&A session will allow any additional questions from parents and students. Parents are mandatory at this meeting. If it is impossible for a parent/guardian to attend, please contact Coach Brewer to see if arrangements can be made.

MONDAY-FRIDAY, MARCH 1-5, 2010

Clinics and Try-outs

3:30-5:30 daily

Monday-Thursday will be dance clinics for all girls meeting requirements. On these days we will learn choreography, discuss technique regarding turns, leaps, and flexibility, and learn the school fight song. Everything learned in the clinic will be part of the try-out on Friday. Choreography will consist of hip hop, jazz, pom and kick dance techniques. Prior dance training is not required, but would be helpful through the try-out process. It is mandatory that every participant arrives promptly everyday to ensure proper warm-up and show dedication. Missing any day of clinic will result in dismissal at try-outs. Girls will be required to wear a white top and black shorts/capris on the day of try-outs.

BEFORE CLINICS YOU NEED:

-physical on file dated after February 1, 2010 (a student may not participate in clinics without a physical)

-Teacher evaluation sheets (due by March 3)

-Attendance at Mandatory Informational Meeting

-GPA minimum of 2.5

The end of the road..

The end of the year is sadly upon us ladies. Try-outs are just around the corner!
Our last three games: Wed., 2/10; Fri., 2/12; Tues., 2/16
Reminder: Meeting on Thursday 2/18 immediately after school. You need to turn in the following items:
Poms, Shell top, Skirt, Warm-up jacket, Warm-up pants - any additional garment you received after tryouts. Everything should be clean. Skirt and shells should be dry-cleaned and warm-ups should be freshly cleaned.

Game Cancellation

Reminder: The game scheduled for this Friday has been moved to Thursday, the 14th. We will not be attending this game as a team because neither sponsor is available. Remember to wear your new sweatsuits to school that day, though, to support the team! Next game: Friday the 22nd.

Snow Day

Please remember to practice over the weekend. We will set formations on Monday as well as begin learning Routine B. Remember, Monday and Tuesday will be long practices (until 5:30) especially since we're missing today's practice! Be ready with any costuming ideas, also!
